Knee Pain - If YOU are experiencing Knee Pain, YOU may feel Stiffness and Swelling... The knee allows you to Sit, Walk, Squat and Jump. Two Groups of Muscles That Support Your Knee: (1) Hamstrings – are muscles on the back of your thigh. They run from the hip to just below the knee and work to bend your knee. (2) Quadriceps – are four muscles on the front of the thigh that run from the hip to the knee and straighten your knee from a bent position. Symptoms: Overuse and Injuries such as: Iliotibial Band Injury (a thick band that runs down the side from hip to knee), Fractures to kneecap, Bursitis, Dislocation of knee, Throbbing pain around the kneecap, Torn ligaments and cartilage, Sprains and Strains.
